I just re-read your question. And if you are after a harder shock, a harder spring will do that, as it takes more energy to compress that spring.. Dampening on the other hand controls the speed at which the shock moves..
Right now I have the green Associated spring in the rear. The shock collar is all the way up against the cap to get a decent ride height. If I go to a stiffer spring it will raise it up. How would I get a good right height after I put a stiffer spring in it?
