You cannot make a sweeping statement on the setup systems.
There are lots of setup systems out there, and surely they work otherwise factory drivers and many hobbyists won't be using them.
The only inaccuracy I can see from such systems boils down to the cars' own inability to maintain their settings due to play in the suspension.
