Hello all! I am hoping that some of you in here can help answer some questions I have about the SC10. I have recently decided that I would like to start racing short course at my LHS, and have done lots of research on the best SC options... coming to the conclusion that I want to get an Associated 2wd SC10. However, I am going to be running in the "modded" class and don't know what my best option is.

I looked on eBay and found a new SC10 with no electronics for $190. Then, I went on Tower Hobbies and found a new 2wd SC10 brushed RTR model for $199. I plan on putting a Castle Creations motor/esc in it so I was planning on getting the roller... but for $10 extra I mine as well get the brushed RTR. But my question is, if I get the brushed SC10, can I just put the CC Sidewinder SV2 right into the brushed motors place... or am I going to need special brushless mounts? What do you guys think is the best route to go if I plan to put on my own motor, ESC, receiver, and servo?

One other question... if I were to buy a stock 2wd SC10 and plan to race it, what are some upgrades that you guys would recommend right off the bat? I know when it comes to my Traxxas Mini Erevo, there is a list of upgrades that EVERYONE recommends to newbs, so I didn't know if there was one for the SC10. Thanks for all of your help...
