hey guys im getting a sc10 ft from the wife for christmas.
now i have never raced 2wd sc before so im looking for a little help. i have 2 options on electronics to put in this truck. i want to run mod 2wd so i was looking to put in an lrp ssx v2 tc with a reedy sonic 7.5t, or a tekin rs with a redline 10.5. im not sure on how the truck will handle the 7.5 or what gearing would be a good starting point. If you are new to racing, go with the 10.5. Run it without boost or timing and get used to it. As soon as you feel like you can handle more speed, set your boost and timing. If that get to feeling sluggish, go with the 7.5. I run a 7.5 Epic Duo and I love it, but I ran 13.5 for over a year first until I really learned how to drive. Now I love the 7.5, but it can get you into trouble fast.
