Should not have to check at all , the parts are usually very reliable .

I could suspect the wrong size crush tube perhaps ?

There are 2 sizes and if you use the wrong tube the problems your having could occur ....



standard crush tube # 7377( use with 3/16th bearing hubs)

#7933 for hubs using the over size .187x0.50 bearing
