Check the carb slide boot and o-ring at the base...

Check the carb slide boot and o-ring at the base where it goes in the crankcase. There's an o-ring on the idle screw also. And make sure venturi is fully seated. Lots of guys pull the filter off...

I have one of these for my USGT car also. Ran it on carpet. Expect a bucketload of steering with it. Also, watch the front splitter, it is fragile and likes to crack where it joins the grill.
