I think the shaft/threads on the CRC ball popper may be to big. If I remember right the kingpins on the YRX are 2.5 or 2mm so you need the Yokomo R12-36F Pivot Ball Tool if you can find it.

That will depend on how smooth/flat the track is. If there are some bumps or dips 6-7mm is about right. I would start with 5-6mm on asphalt, carpet 4-5mm.
