I made that very same mistake when I got my T4 '13, felt like such a waste to replace a brand new lipo with a different one as I had no use for it, but it had to be done.

I would be fairly confident in trying that :) One consideration is that the lipo does not rub on the belt, as you mention stoppers should eliminate that.

We still race 13.5 blinky and 17.5 turbo on foams, but we are in the UK.

We banned additive too, improves tyre life and made people work on getting the setup right.
