The carbon reinforced version is a good alternative if you don't find the aluminum one. Not better than the aluminum but a lot better than the stock one.

It's been a while (last was November last year) since I ran the XV. So I did today. Also my LRP S10. The XV-01 is still the best 4WD driving machine for me. It'll do what the driver wants it to do.

"Stage 1" of upgrades that are necessary for the XV-01 are aluminum suspension mounts (front and rear), front CVD and shocks. The 42102 is a 55mm damper. I would suggest using a 60-65mm damper...
