Red face Tamiya 10.5 = 17.5 USA

A 10.5 brushless Tamiya motor is not like 10.5 brushless motors here in the USA. The speed and power band is probably pretty close to 17.5 brushless here.

Thumbs up TIRES

Actually open class was able to buy 4 sets of race tires and all the practice tires you wanted. They were only $30 a set! So that was pretty good!
Sweep tires were very consistent!

Cool SPEC motors for 2018?

I would wait because there is an unofficial rumor that they will be switching to the fixed timing Reedy motor for next year and the price is around $55.

Smile favorite spur gears!

For 64 pitch I like the Axon spur gears
For 48 pitch I like the 3Racing spur gears
I haven't tried the 48 pitch on the 419x but I think the it's thin enough to fit between the center pulleys ?...

Thumbs up 48 pitch

I also ran the 48 pitch on my 07" for a while. Stripping a lot of 64 pitch spur gears so I switched. Ended up going back to 64 because of not having small enough spur gears for 48 pitch. So, I'm...

Exclamation Dont use the stock spur and pinions!

The gears that come in the kit are not compatible with most brushless motors we run here in the U.S. and the gears are not quite 48 pitch so you better off going to 64 pitch or 48 pitch. Use whatever...
