Whatever you prefer. Any charity you think is worth is fine. Since we're playing with models, I thought a little help to children (and their right to play) would make sense.
Thank you and let us...

Good job, keep us updated with your build. I'm releasing v 0.6 soon to correct a bug for the serial line mode selection.

Hi, the transponder capture from RF signal is done in hardware. Original Cano decoder uses logic gates, RCHourglass uses configurable FPGA-like hardware designed in verilog inside the PSOC. There's...

It's the size (in foot) of the area of the detection loop. For example I use 9'x1' loop (about 2,7m x 30 cm). That means you need around 6 meter of cable.

The jumpers are used to tune the circuit to the loop wire length. From Howard Cano specs:

9'x1' to 12'x1' : No jumpers on loop amplifier.
6'x1' to 8'x1' : Use jumper at J3 on loop amplifier....

At least another user is using a desgin derived from Cano decoder (from which RCHouglass comes from) for rc boat timing. What he told me is that he's using a passive loop (100% Mylaps compatible) had...

The RCHourglass transponder can be easily converted to send a 3.68MHz signal (or 3.58MHz...these are 'standard' values). The crystal must be changed from 5MHz. The antenna must be retuned for the new...

I don't have access to Amb20 transponders, sorry. If the signal is still 5MHz BPSK with the same preamble, monitor mode could be uset to capture the transponder packets a see if the firmware can be...

I had this issue when one of the widnings in the motor detached from the front 'bridging' tabs. This was a Tekin motor that had over temperature use. By measuring with the multimeter one of the...

That noise seems really high and also the timing seems strange.... it seems like bursts of high frequency noise (similar to the tx frequency)... why should that change to a better situation on full...

I'm afraid no. You might want to try the simplified payalneg amplifier. I haven't build one myself so I cannot help you about that or say which one works better...

Maybe it's just the layout of the PCB.... I've not been able to test it, but it might have some loops that pick up noise. Let us know how your rebuild works.

Well done! On the analog side (loop amp/on board amp) maybe some tuned filtering around 5MHz might improve noise rejection. Unfortunately right now detection is based on signal 'zero crossing', so it...

I'm afraid that these kind of transponder use a completely different protocol AND frequency to transmit signal. This means that a lot of analysis should be done on a real TRANSPONDER signal before...

I don't think you have a crystal issue, since the led is blinking fine. I'm using part number QCL5.00000F18B23B by QANTEK TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION, Farnell number 2508444, but any similar would do. I...

100 ohm.... if you get the led blink, the clock should be ok for the PIC. Only thing that can be wrong is quartz frequency

If the led blinks, unless you've shorted and fried something in the PIC, the transponder is working and output signal should be on pin 6 and 7 of the PIC. Make sure you don't have a short and measure...

RFID needs to receive power, turn on and respond. Maybe it's too much time for a rapid passage. An active transponder sends packets that are received before and after crosing the detection loop

Power supply suggested is 5v and above for max output. Usually I connect it to the BEC output. The led should blink when you install the crystal and the power supply regulator.
