You can also pick up a HiTech HS-645MG for about that price, or the HS-625MG for cheaper if torgue isn't an issue - and both are metal geared.

That's why most 12th scale racers don't follow that "tip" to the letter - as you'll want the body below (and not above) the bottom edge of the chassis plate, as well as mounting the body high enough...
