That is not the servo saver. Many including me think the xray saver is the best for 1/12. A servo not centering is usually the servo.

I ran a Motive 3.5 with 88/28 gearing and 30 degrees of timing. The only place you don't feel the crazy speed is on the straight. The infield may be a touch quicker with Blinky.

Blinky open motor was great at the Champs. I thought it had good speed and cars were easier to drive. It is still difficult, but I think with this configuration, it is achievable.
