The updated chasis holds up fine ,but the plastic skids break pretty easy. With the aluminum skids the whole setup is tough as nails.

You can get Mod 1 pinions that fit 3mm shafts, so that is not really an issue, but I agree about that adapter, it's not my first choice, but works in a pinch.
