I removed the steering wheel down as far as i could down to the steering pot.. hit with compressed air can, electronics cleaner and compressed air to make 100% it was clear and dry.

4wd fronts are essentially wide 2wd fronts.... Lots of extra load, weight and abuse on a front wheel of a 4wd... i see cracks on my TLR wheels in the same place, inner bead to inner flat part.

You are sure your phone is not connected to home WiFi or track WiFi when attempting to connect to esc? Your phone will default to the better connection when given two choices... And internet...

-low voltage cut off? Is it set to auto or a specific voltage? Or off. Personally i always select off as do most racers..

Unless your running in a stock blinky class i would opt for the regular 4.0
