Sounds like you used the wrong inner bearing. I had the same problem when I initially built my TA07ms. Swapped the bearing and problem fixed. Put the skinner bearing in the inside.

thereís zero reason why the single belt car couldnít handle a mod motor. Thereís no belt skip on mine. The single belt car from Top racing and the old XXX losi ran mod motors just fine

Iíve only ran my TA07MS in rear motor setting. The motor is not as far back as a typical rear motor. And more importantly itís the chassis stiffest setting
