If your local drivers run Xray, I would look into a used T4 or X4. Once you find a set-up that you like, there is not much tinkering you need to do. Throw tires at it and burn laps.

I found that the new tires had a bit more traction in the front tires, but I did not experience any hint of traction roll. For now I would not think that glue is needed on the sidewalls.

McAllister bodies are lighter and in my opinion they are much more durable than the Protoform bodies. I like the McAllister Firebird. If you are looking for extremely light bodies, try RaceVTA.com....
