Yeah, I was thinking the same, but hate to state the obvious. I was also wondering why someone would take a 18TM that supposedly "ran great" out of the truck, and replace it with a 3.3.

You could just opt for a set of bearings to replace the stock bushings though. 5x8x2.5mm IIRC
That and a 5 cell RX pack makes a world of difference.

No 2 Savage trannys are alike, but about 3-4 turns will get you in the ballpark. Don't crank it down tight cuz...

A little fast and loose with the term "exactly". That should read closer to 11mm (company used to produce T-maxx mounts years ago ;) ). The Thunder Tigers' mount holes are around 17.5mm OC IIRC....
