our track is similar in that way it can get a little slick but we sugar water with 3 coats mixing it 3 to 1 using hot water from your sink and it soaks in great...

thanks its a high traction soil and for the 4th of July race we will sugar water it and you can use X2000's or taper pins on just about any car and when they go bald they work best.
