If you run the 50mm shafts up front, it is a good idea to run the alloy spool outdrives. The shorter shafts ride the edge of the composite outdrives and make them snap much easier.

The IP will fit fine - it was designed for 1/12 just like the rest.
Some SMC's came today also. Any of the 3.7V lipos should be a fine choice.
