Fantastic combo is Castle 1800kv and 4S (ROAR limit is 4S). 2200 is fine too but maybe a little too harsh for buggy due to torque and a little longer/heavier motor - but a lot of guys use them. I...

Make marshalls ignore you.

I've kept up with Modified 4wd Slashes using my 2wd stock Blitz by not crashing - and they were a handful for the marshalls.

For racing, really consider the 1800 Castle motor instead. Great for buggies with 4S. Which is why Castle put out the motor after the initial...

I have a wattmeter on my shopping list for later this year. Definitely would love to see what kind of wattage you're pulling during acceleration - that would help to compute the amps. I don't know...

That's a hot motor - like 1000 watts. With a 2-cell LiPO it may be sucking a lot of amps through the esc off the lower-volt battery. Say the motor is running at its wattage rating of 1000 watts and...

What's the wattage rating of your the motor? If it's a longer motor with maybe a 1200 watt design, it still could pull near or over the 80A of the ESC.

4S = 100A x 14.8 = 1480...
