Higher torque usually means less rpms. my motors are between 3000-3050kv usually at 50°. Also timing will change the KV (it increases rpms per volt).

I don't know what he did to fix it, he hasn't said. 95% of the time the prolink looping back means it needs a firmware reflash on the esc.

You should not have any issues with that setup

Reverse polarity almost always damages the internal components. I would recommend sending the unit in for repair.

On a side note, the 3 capacitor bank will work, it is just not necessary.
