I would beg to differ re: Hobby Hobby @hamgatan. I've had an extremely bad experience as a shopper there.

Prices in Hong Kong seem to best cheapest - even cheaper than buying in Japan for the Tamiya/Yokomo stuff.

Yep we're on asphalt. I don't think any car is tough enough for carpet and the barriers that carpet tracks (I have experience of) come with.
