Aside from all the parts costing over $100, i would run them. You do not have to use the traktion drive. You can use traktion drive, pinion, or a clutchbell. With either, you just turn brakes down...

Best to only download firmware through the software unless you are well versed in writing it. That version sounds about right for the 1s version, not sure on the 2s one.

98% gets slung off the first run, but if you coat it then spin by hand and let sit a day or 2 it seems to kind of soak into the metal and will keep it quiet about 10-15 race days.

having read all 1500 pages, i can confirm some people have needed to lightly file or sand the tabs to get it in. be gentle and careful though.
