I fly with a 9800 stuffed full of snow board gear often.its not oversized, but its easy to pack over weight. you have to stay under 50lbs.

moving the servo with the power off, will cause the servo motor to generate electricity. That electricity flowing down the wires to the receiver is what's spinning the fan.

your current gear ratio isnt "loading" the brushless motor enough to make touque. try a 78 or 80 tooth spur with your current pinion. You should see a big difference everywhere in the powerband.
