BTW, don't get diff tightness confused with tranmission drag. Sounds like your issue has more to do with transmission drag which is independent of diff setting.

Check pinion mesh is not too tight. It should roll pretty freely and only have the normal motor magnet resistance.

Do these also help with preventing the ball cups popping off or is the extra width of the 22 buggy's std rear hex needed?

I would prefer the 22T specific(TLR2941) since the it has the solid metal...
