Our B6 pins work in the b6.1 and up diffs no problem. Aluminum Solid units, no flex to bend or snap the pin and you can fit more oil over the setup using 2 pins or the plastic pin unit.

yes, just grind the outer arm hole off and buy the caster blocks. I rarely run on dirt, but carpet 0 or 2.5 se to be popular choices. I have 0 on my cars, except my willspeed tlr I have the 2.5.

Its just dremel work for the current mod. You grind off the outer hole of the arms, which is pretty easy...then you grind down the caster block so you move it in to mount to outer hole on the caster....

Not sure you can really blame the part then, not sure the Avid part is gonna do any better in that situation. It likely got worse as you kept running on it as well. Pretty crazy you didn't notice...

Being on rubber tires doesn't stop static from building up....hence why you can drag your rubber shoes on the carpet and then get shocked....if rubber stopped...
