And yes it makes perfect sence to me, lighten the rotating mass for quicker acceleration, then put the dead weight where I want it.

Loose brake pad screws cause a clicking sound. Double check the measurement from the manual. My d8t had that clicky noise when I first put it together, half a turn on each screw took it away.
