Try super glue on the side walls of the front tires. Try not to get any on the running surface. I have not yet mastered this but it fixed my traction rolling problem last weekend.

Yes, an air flow straightener is needed. I would think length needed would be a function of diameter, but I don't know the magic L/D. Plastic straws are not as cheap as you would think.

I'm not a tc6 guy but it is common to run a little heavier springs and shock oil in the front. If you have 30wt in the rear 35 or 40 would be normal up front.

The J71 looks like it could be good. I'm just not a fan of having to attach the nose piece to the body. But maybe I should give it a try.

Some have more front overhang. Some require the nose or rail to be attached after painting.

IMHO the HPI 68 Camaro to the best VTA body. Fender wells...
