I have about 25 cycles on mine now and I have never charged at less then 10 amps,there is a guy on Rcmonster who has been charging them at 25 amps to I think.My packs have never even got warm...

Mine says 5c charge rate,maybe they mixed up there letters over there.I charge mine at 10 amps and it takes about 22 minutes from dead.

I use the LIFEPO4 batts just for that reason alone,2 small children in the house and a Labrador retriever that could chew through titanium.Sorry to hear about your fire.

Gotta say how happy I am with the 80 combo though,no problems so far and I beat the crap...
