If the pack crapped out after a couple months while being properly maintained, something is wrong, especially with just 4000kv. It could be binding, could be gearing, could be bearings, or something...

Using SC motors on small 4s packs is actually no problem. It's when people add both torque and weight of full sized 8th scale electronics that wear goes up.

I would say it is more that Tekno knows they have a lot more expertise in 4wd and don't want to release a half baked 2wd, nor something they immediately have to go put more R&D into to fix major...

Should work fine. Might be slightly different cutouts around the front as the MT has the .4 style ackerman on it. An EB48 body also works very well and leaves a bit more space for electronics...
