If you want an mst that is the same size as an scx10 or ascender, then thats the mst cfx-w, but then I would recommend then you save a bit more and get an scx10 II or ascender.

Receivers are nice and simple to waterproof at least, I normally just give mine a coat of conformal coating, but you can always just throw it in a balloon and tie it off and hope for the best ;)

Pretty much. Using a pin instead of hex can also allow you to go a touch narrower, which is useful for scalers going xr width, or sportsman comp crawlers running ar60s.

I'm familiar with that esc, the maximum the drag brake goes up to is 10%, nor nearly enough for crawling with.

If absolutely does cog too. Just because it's within an acceptable amount for you...

Sounds like you've never tried anything else in it? Just the fact that the esc you're using has no instant reverse or drag brake...

Those springs are way way too stiff. Get rid of them all together, they arent needed as it has leaves. run around a 40wt oil in the shocks.

The ascender is an awesome performer and very reasonably priced. Runs rings around the original scx10 and unlike the scx10 II you can actually find it in stock no worries.
