motor timing

For a 17.5, judging by how many amps it is drawing, motor timing seems too high. I could be wrong as I am more familiar with amp draw at 4 volts.

I was thinking along the lines of the heat transfer grease as well, but instead i would put the heat sink with grease flush onto the speedo and use just a tiny bit of shoe goo on 2 sides of the heat...
