The tyres are great when it's wet, especially if there's standing water. They're super soft though so they don't last long if there's a lot of dry patches on the track.

I got back into the hobby because of the Spec R S1, it was a great kit for the money.

Hopefully this will be just as good. It has stiff competition with the VBC Ghost18, that looks a really nice.

I've just picked up a v16 13.5 and was about to solder it up when I noticed the A tab slides to the left a bit when you apply a minimal amount of force. Is this normal? It moves about a mm or two....

Going down a tooth on the pinion (or up a tooth on the spur) will help to keep the motor cooler in most circumstances. This raises the FDR. Higher FDR = cooler.

If you get the ones where the grub screw is right next to the teeth it's a lot easier, especially if you turn them around.

Failing that, I usually do them by putting the driver between the chassis...
