I've run the Yokomo tires on asphalt and they work the same as TC tires. The SJT tires are too short and don't have enough 'give' to make grip.

Both the Tamiya and Yokomo hubs use adapters to mount the wheels on regular 3 bolt hubs. I've ran my Tamiya car on these tires and it's actually very good.
