buggy engine

I have the original 5 port and everytime I try a smooth buggy engine I don't like it. When I hear comments that say its a good buggy engine I think ok it doesn't have enough torque. haha I'm really...

hi

I take the bearing out and remove the seals and blast it with wd40 it seems to remove more of the gritty stuff than solvents. I spin the bearing often and do that a few times then spray the seals and...

well

I have been running a nitro buggy for over 20 years now and have never once had an air leak. At least not on the engine. Just my opinion.

The copper shim may be sandwiched between the 2 .30 shims.

The stock setup is 2 .30 silver shims and one .20 copper or brass shim for a total of .80.

hmm

20-30 minutes is a long time. It may be getting a little low on compression. 4 port novas are kinda weird on torque anyway. Sometimes they feel perfect and some time they feel low on torque. It might...

Glad to see Bones Brew is popular. It really is the best fuel I have used in over 20 years of nitro buggy running. I wont use anything else

yep

The clocked p5 with a 2058 just does everything great. Its my favorite setup. I have several other engines and that combo is most used.

true

The only real internal performance benefit over a p5 is the team crank in the clio. I ran a p5 with a team crank once and I could not tell any performance gain at all. I did feel a gain from the...

Ok

No big deal buddy. I was just giving my opinion from trying the 9901 9886 2058 and the oldest Nova pipe I know of the 9886. I say run whatever you think works the best or is legal or whatever. I like...

well

Considering the modders advice I would say the 9886. Its a 2 chamber the other 2 are 3 chambers.

my advice. I had a 9901 and a 2096 sold them both. I run a 2058 or 9886 on a p5.

I have been running novas since about 1998. If you run too hot of a plug you can burn the plug up very fast in a nova. When I said the FX does not load up I meant I can start it and not even rev it...

I own both an FX and a BTT and they both are easy to tune although the FX seems to be able to idle without loading up at all which I have never seen before.

The are both reliable no issues with...

You are funny. Ty has "clearly" won almost every race he has entered recently in nitro buggy. If anything he is becoming more dominant. Guys are going to HB to get some of that mojo. Ronnefalk is...

Back in the day all cars had universals and Mugen was one of the first buggies to switch to cvds in 8th scale. CVD's do have benefits such as a more stable larger surface area with the larger inside...
