Check out youtube for videos on how to fix a pull start. I had the same problem once, and youtube saved me money from not buying a new pull start.

I never had big issues with my SS. If you really want something just to bash with your friends, go with a Savage or even if you have the money go with a HPI Baja.

I'm going with what 808 said. Go with HPI or Traxxas if your new to the nitro world. I myself am still new to nitro, but HPI and Traxxas will def get you in the door.

So my pull start spring finally broke after about 2 gallons. Now I'm asking would it would be better to upgrade to a bump start, because this pull start crap is a pain to fix.

Yes they will. I have a 5 cell in my hellfire ss, but I will have to upgrade to a better battery because the run time on a full charge wont last a whole fuel tank.
