I usually gear up 1-2 teeth with using the UHT...

I usually gear up 1-2 teeth with using the UHT rotor. That will wake up the motor. Timing at 48ish is good too!

Another viable option is using the stock ball studs and using Kyosho 4.8mm rod ends. Only downside in the rod end is enclosed and doesn't allow access to the 2mm broach.
