Youíll have brakes if you use 10.5 or a MOD motor with 1S. it is not a battery issue it has to do with the drive ratio. 17.5 and 13.5 have rather long gearing which will counter act the rather low...

The brakes on 1/12 stock are extremely weak. 17.5 has rather no brakes.

All sensored motors have a temp sensor.
The X20 and 22 use the same sensor board.
The X22 should work with the Flow and provide the correct temperature for read out.

I believe that it is the Firmware 1.1 reverse firmware . You can find it on LRP.cc and it includes a pdf with correct steps.
It is on the page of the esc under service > software update

Can you check if you have the 3 motor wires correct on the ESC and Motor? I mean is A-A, B-B and C-C.
If not thisíll cause the motor to run backwards.
