I think the cleaning part of it can be the major part of tire breakdowns. I average about 4 dozen runs between practice and races on mine and attributed that to my Mi7 just generating that much grip...

Going to the 1.2f like Marcos mentioned seemed to help mine, the car felt like it got better as the traction rose....

This may work for low bite...
