If I remember correctly, you need to use an APPLE App. to be able to unlock them. Not 100% sure but I think thats what I read.

Don't know about foam tires and toe in/out but for my f-one 2014 and my f-one 2016 on rubber tires I definitely need a fair bit of toe out to make it less twitchy and stable at speed.

I run upwards of 3deg toe out on the front to stop mine being so sensitive to steering input at speed. Doesn't necessarily sound logical but it does work.
