If you're starting off (new to R/C) don't worry about it, you won't feel it.
I would go ahead and put the weight there, it makes people feel better about their cars knowing it is balanced.

Firstly what tires are you using and are they fresh? IMO, tires are ~90% of the cars setup. Not just having the right ones, but having fresh ones (no more than 8-10 runs at most)
