I tried a spool, yes while it was great on the brakes with the 1/8 buggy brake disc I have installed steering was an issue. I was much better using a one way as the exit speed was better :)...

Did you take the conrod off also? if not just point the oil hole towards front of engine. Normally the longer side of the piston "skirt" goes to the rear to cover the exhaust port during TDC.

Maybe review the oil weight in the rear diff? If your killing diff gears sounds like to much diff action to me (or a bad set of gears like you said).....OR its leaked out....

Good work :) It all helps. In the end mine got too sloopy (years of use I guess) and where popping of in crashes so now I am running HPI ball and cups ATM. From memory they are just a bit larger...

You want it as thick as you can without it...
