I dont have the car with me to verify but the area of the motor mount that might limit larger sized pinions might be the area, towards the rear, behind spur. A Dremel can probably clear enough space...

Having ran the L1R with the aluminum vs graphite chassis on grey office carpet - my preference is graphite chassis which felt more ‘in the carpet’ as opposed to ‘on the carpet’ with the aluminum....

I have never had issues with dampener bearings in MANY years of use.

Wheel hubs I resolved.

Motor bearings - needs finese and right...
