Very nice HPI cars. The purple anodized parts bring back a lot of fond memories of the late 90s/early 2000s when HPI was on top of their game.

You may want to consider getting the lower motor mount blocks in aluminum and possibly the center brace that goes on the spur gear and pulley layshaft. Should otherwise be fine.

Exactly. Sure, people will always rave Tekin has good customer support. But I've never had any problems with any ESCs until I ran Tekin. My main beef was they didn't bother fixing my ESCs for issues...

Ran all the different brands. Used to run Tekin exclusively but switched over and sold them all. Tekin escs are less reliable for me. I now run primarily Hobbywing.

Racing is usually slower at Oshkosh during the summer, its hit or miss.

The fall/winter/early spring is when turnouts are more consistent and usually there is always a 4tec class.

The newer cars handle a lot better and are easier to drive. I wouldn't invest heavily in that car. The RC10F6 I would not bother. It is discontinued and parts will be an issue soon.

I think I might try the Trencher LP 3.8 in the future. It seems just perfect for a widened Maxx. The tires are a little taller than the stock ones. Possibly wider offset too.
