1/8 Buggy with Truggy tires!!!

This weekend I got a little bored and decide to take the wheels and tires from my brothers truggy and put them on my Losi 8 2.0.. Talking about hooking up!! I couldnt hold the front end on the ground...

Should I replace the spur gear? I have a extra pinion I can use. I will have to order a spur gear if it needs replaced. It looks okay to me but I don't know much about em.

i know of the paper trick but what do i look for when doing it? or do i just slide a piece of paper inbetween the spur and pinion puch the pinion into the spur(use the paper as a shim) then lock it...

i did the magnet test and it is steel.. any idea why i am getting the metal shavings? could it just have been where i had the mesh to tight? i set the mesh a little looser and it is way more quiet...

I have recently converted my losi 8 2.0 to brushless. I am using a steel 45 spur and 16 pinion. I have noticed some steel shavings around the gears. What is the cause of this? I think I had my mesh...
