You lose a minimum of 1% pr gear pair. So belts is no worse than gears for transfer.. and you do not get the torque from the spinning shaft.

Recent years i find that the Tamiya bodies are less and less realistic where as the old ones where the best you could buy for scale looks.

Get an oil diff. It is the single biggest upgrade you can do in terms of transforming the handling. Try it with tick oil to really notice the difference.

It is good enough. Even with a 4 pole 800Watts you hardly get spin on carpet. The real question is still how many Gs they pull on braking and acceleration.

Tighten the diff and you can brake. It also helps to have downforce. I guess you do not run a wing as you run the stock tamiya body of some sort. What diff do you run? open?
