You may have just popped the power caps....try to unsolder them and then try to use the esc again. Not saying its for sure but the caps are right there and are polarity sensitive.

If you are running 64 pitch gears, it would be 40 pinion and 100 spur.
If you are running 48 pitch gears, it would be 32 pinion and 80 spur.

Are they new or used gears? Is the mesh set correctly? Gear selection has a lot to do with what motor you plan to run, so you'll have to tell us a little more info.

We used to run those on on the S411 short shock so that you could still use the 23mm springs. That said, they should give you some more adjustment on the X20, just check that you still have clearance...

Reverse limiting isn't done thru your receiver, its all done via your speed control, so you probably need the program card to change that setting.
