What kind of car is this on? If I assume it's something with a gear diff, I would say it sounds like a damaged gear or possibly something jammed in there. You'll have to open it up either way.

I found the Losi 5IVE-T to be the easiest SCT 4x4 to work on for me personally. Second to that might be my OFNA Hyper 10SC but then again that does take a back seat to performance on the track.
