Depending on the size of the track, I would start at 4.3-4.5 check temps vs speed. If temps are low obviously gear up. Just a starting point, hope this helps. Chris S

Depends a lot on what the motor likes i.e. torque, mid range, or top end. I personally try to use the smallest pinion the motor likes as said before, same or very similar FDR’s. Just a leverage thing.
